EALC has an exchange program with National Tsing Hua University to sponsor several study abroad scholarships to study Mandarin in Taiwan.

The city Hsinchu mix big city (half a million population), traditional (temples and night markets), mountains (Professor Shih comments: “I rank my trip to the tea farmers in the mountains as my top travel/life experience, not to be missed”), and fast train access to all major cities. Talk to the Chinese instructor Yi-Xiu Lin for more exciting information--She's the exchange instructor from NTHU.

If the students are selected for the scholarship by the Study Abroad Office, EALC will provide $1000 to supplement airfare.
