I was born and raised in Nanchang, a city in southern China, and completed my bachelor’s degree in Tianjin, a city in northern China. Driven by a curiosity about Japanese culture and history, I began learning Japanese and discovered my passion for philosophy, which I have combined with my current field of Japanese intellectual history.
