Biography
Ruonan Wang is a PhD student in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her interdisciplinary academic training includes history, sociology, media studies, women and gender studies, and anthropology. She is currently working on population governing in contemporary China, focusing on the history and social impacts of the biopolitical designs of the One-child Policy.
