Graduate Annual Progress Report
Instructions for both graduate students and faculty on how to locate and complete the annual graduate students evaluation in Grad Records on the College’s MY.ATLAS website.
For students:
- Login to the ATLAS portal: http://my.atlas.illinois.edu
- Look for the “ATLAS Grad Student Toolbox” (if not listed, you may use the “Add content” in the footer to add toolbox).
- Click link for “Grad Student Self Evaluation (E. Asian Languages & Cultures).”
- Scroll to the bottom of the page entitled “Grad Student Self Evaluation”
- Type or “copy-and-paste” your self-evaluation into the two textboxes on “academic goals” and “career goals” during the past year
You may edit and save your self-evaluation as many times as you need. Do not click the “complete” button until you are ready to submit your evaluation because you will no longer be able to edit your what you have typed.
For students with no advisor on file, be sure to submit a “Declare/Change Advisors” form to SLCL Graduate Services: https://slcl.illinois.edu/resources/graduate-student-services/graduate-student-forms-and-resources
For faculty:
1-a. Please log into http://my.atlas.illinois.edu/
1-b. Under the “Academic” tab, click on Grad Records. Then, click on the “My students” button. You will see academic records of your advisees. Be sure to remind your advisees to complete their portion of the evaluation before the specified deadline. If you do not see any of your advisees, please remind them to submit a “Declare/Change Advisors” form: https://slcl.illinois.edu/resources/graduate-student-services/graduate-student-forms-and-resources
1-c. Once a student submits their self-evaluation, you will receive an e-mail alerting you to this fact. The email will include A) a link to all evaluations of your students via Grad Records, B) a link to the advisor evaluation for this specific student, and C) a link to the student’s self-evaluation.
If you click the above link C) to the student’s self-evaluation, you will be able to view the student’s self-evaluation. Then please click link B) to complete the faculty evaluation form. Alternately, you can click link 1-a and go to the webpage of all your students’ evaluation information. There, you will see a “View” button for viewing a student’s self-evaluation and a “Evaluate” button for adding your evaluation.
2) In addition to completing this evaluation, be sure to meet with each of your advisees to discuss their self-evaluations, overall progress in their program, and plans for the future.
3) Please submit your faculty evaluation of all of your advisees by no later than the stipulated date before the annual departmental review meeting near the end of the spring semester.
