Jeeyoung Ahn Ha, Director of the Korean language program (since 2004) at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, specializes in curricular development, language pedagogy and assessment, and teacher training. Actively involved in action research and collaborative projects at all levels, she successfully coordinated team efforts as the Heritage Level leader in the College Korean Curriculum Inspired by National Standards for Korean project by American Association of Teachers of Korean (AATK) from 2012 to 2015, and gave numerous presentations on standards-based curriculum development and instructional strategies. She also developed the semi-adoptive Korean proficiency and placement online test and the online community Let’s Talk in Korean for learners to practice speaking with Korean native speaker volunteers. She is certified as ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) Tester and Writing Proficiency Test (WPT) Rater of Korean. She currently serves on the Center for Language Instruction and Coordination (CLIC) Executive Committee, the Less Commonly Taught Language (LCTL) Business Symposium committee at CLIC, and as a reviewer for the Korean Language in America (KLA) Journal. Previously, she served as the Executive Board Member of the AATK (2015-2018) and the AATK Korean Honor Society committee. She is the co-author of a forthcoming textbook for heritage learners, Integrated Korean: Accelerated 1 & 2, which is to be published in Spring 2020 as part of the most popular Korean textbook series in America by Klear Textbooks in Korean Language.
