The 6th Annual Korean Speech Contest will be held virtually at 7 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2022. The event is organized by the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures [EALC] and sponsored by Center of East Asian and Pacific Studies [CEAPS]. This event is open to all.
Students who currently take KOR courses will be given an extra-credit for their participation in the Contest. In addition, a winner in each level will be awarded with a gift card and those who are currently taking or have taken KOR classes within a year will be eligible to compete in the Third Virtual Annual Mid-West Korean Speech Contest tat 11 am (CT) on Saturday, April 16, 2022. The 1st place winners at each level in the Mid-West Korean Speech Contest will be awarded with a tuition-free opportunity to study in Korea during summer as well as a cash award. There will also be cash awards for other winners and souvenirs for all contestants.
