The Japanese language program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) offers language courses of four levels from elementary to fourth-year.  While each focusing on particular skill areas, all courses aim at developing comprehensive language ability that enables culturally-appropriate behaviors and communication. JAPANESE LANGUAGE PLACEMENT TEST
The Japanese placement test consists of two parts and will take place on Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20, 2026.
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email. Please keep a copy of it just in case it is needed to verify your registration. You can cancel your registration prior to the test if you won't be able to attend.
The deadline to register for this test is midnight US Central Time on August 9, 2026.

UIUC Tadoku group offers you graded readers (easy reading) of a wide variety of levels and subjects. 

We read books for fun and not for assignments because we believe that reading should be enjoyable!
